This September, Radio Laria is very lucky to have Eleanor Jackson and Caz Masel performing. Eleanor is a remarkably talented poet who has been described as creating “a powerful quiet”. Caz Masel will be sharing her compelling poetry live and we are also going to view her award-winning videos made with filmmaker Diane Charleson. Doors open 7pm and the live poetry kicks off at 7:30.
Gig includes open mic where poets, storytellers and writers of all kinds are encouraged to share their work. All genders are welcome to read, sign up on the night, 10 slots available and 5 minute limit. The audience is very supportive and we welcome new readers.

Eleanor Jackson is a poet, performer, arts producer and advocate. She is the author of Gravidity and Parity from Vagabond Press. Her chapbook, A Leaving (2018), is also available from Vagabond Press, while her full-length live album, One Night Wonders, is available through Going Down Swinging.
Caz Masel lives on Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung land that was never ceded. A chapbook, A Book of Hours (2017) and a collection, Moorings (2019) were both published by Ginninderra Press. A second collection of poems is currently searching for a publisher. Her poems have been published in journals and anthologies. In 2022 she was Runner up for the Ada Cambridge Poetry Prize and has had two poems accepted for the Girls on Key anthology, Shooting the Breeze, one in the forthcoming ACU Poetry Prize Anthology, and one in the next issue (#11) of Arena Magazine. With friend and film-maker Diane Charleson, she has had short films of some poems shown at the Poetry Film Festival in Hollywood and the New Arts International Film Festival in London.
